The Campbell Foundation

The Campbell Foundation was established in 1946 and is affiliated with Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics. A scientific and charitable trust, The Campbell Foundation was founded by Dr. Willis C. Campbell’s partners to continue his commitment to the advancement of orthopedic medicine. The Campbell Foundation receives support from grateful patients, physicians, resident and fellow alumni, staff, trustees, corporations, and friends in the community.

For more than 60 years, The Campbell Foundation has been committed to advancing surgeon education, orthopedic research, and community healthcare.

For nearly a century, Campbell Clinic has been a leader in the field of orthopedics. Our founder, Dr. Willis C. Campbell, opened his clinic in 1909 and in the years following, established the resident education program, founded the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and wrote the first textbook on orthopedic surgery.
