Knee

There are many components to the knee, making it vulnerable for various types of injuries. Our knee specialists are trained to provide diagnostic and rehabilitative services, including conservative, surgical treatment, and robotic knee surgery.

Here are a few common knee injuries that we treat:

  • Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears
  • Collateral ligament tears (MCL and LCL)
  • Posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) tears
  • Ligament sprains
  • Meniscal tears
  • Patellar fractures
  • Knee dislocation
  • Patellar dislocation or instability
  • Patellar tendon and quadriceps tendon tears

Campbell Clinic was the first orthopaedic practice in the Mid-South to offer the ROSA Robotic Knee System to patients undergoing a total knee replacement. The ROSA Knee is a robotic surgical assistant that helps joint replacement surgeons provide a personalized total knee replacement. It uses a camera as well as optical trackers that are attached to the patient’s leg to know the precise position of the knee during surgery. This guides surgeons to more accurately carry out their surgical plans for knee replacement and also place the knee implant with greater precision. To determine if ROSA Knee robotic-assisted total knee replacement is right for you, your orthopaedic surgeon will perform a thorough evaluation to determine if this is the correct approach for your specific individual needs.

Does Medicare cover knee replacements?

Medicare Part A and B may cover the cost of your knee replacement if the surgery is medically necessary. Many will qualify for knee replacements covered by Medicare, but there are exceptions. Please note that the type of Medicare coverage you have may also impact the amount out of pocket expenses you may be liable for. Please schedule an appointment to speak to a physician to find out if your treatment is medically necessary and available for Medicare coverage.
