WORK PERFORMED THIS WEEK

  • Installed electrical overhead and in-wall rough-in on the first and fourth floors.
  • Ran conduit for fourth floor O.R. rooms. 
  • Pulled wire for lights on the third floor. 
  • Pulled wire on first floor in café homeruns. 
  • Wired VAV Boxes. Permanent power is in place. 
  • Ran wire for lights in canopy. 
  • Continued rough-in for case work power supply on third floor. 
  • Continued rough-in power for pools. 
  • Mounted transformers in electrical rooms.
  • Installed overhead and in-wall on first, third and fourth floors by plumbers. 
  • Continued finishing up med gas lines on the fourth floor.
  • Installed duct on the fourth floor and tying in the chases. 
  • Installed VAV boxes. 
  • Installed grilles on third floor and caulking between ductwork and finished sheetrock. 
  • Continued installation of suite arrays.
  • Continued interior wall layout and erection of studs on the first to fourth floors.
  • Continued installation of drywall and insulation on the first and fourth floor. 
  • Continued finishing up drywall and framing on the third floor.
  • Continued installation of sprinkler pipe on fourth floor. 
  • Installed standpipe/ branch lines on fourth floor. 
  • Ran sprinkler pipe in stairwells. 
  • Installed sprinkler flex pipe heads on third floor. 
  • Began hydro test on the fourth floor.
  • Continued caulking between the precast and exterior window frames.
  • Installed remaining exterior windows and frames. 
  • Continued installing exterior doors and frames around shell of building.
  • Continued working on retaining wall on the Campbell Clinic drive. 
  • Poured curbs for south entrance parking lot expansion. 
  • Continued curb and gutter formation and poured around the building.
  • Continued painting sheetrock on first floor. First coat of paint on the door frames for the first floor.
  • Continued north elevator installation. 
  • Began work on elevator number three installation.
  • Continued installation of light/equipment boom brackets in the operation rooms.
  • Installed wire for the security camera and control systems on the third floor.
  • Finished installation of HydroWorx pools.
  • Continued running A/C units to air condition the building.
  • Continued inspections on fireproofing and in-wall penetrations on the fourth floor.
  • Continued installation of handrail in south stairwell number three.
  • Installed frames and exterior glass on the front entrance on first floor. 
  • Installed remaining windows on exterior.

STATISTICS:

  • By the end of the job, there will have been approximately 420,000 square feet of drywall installed throughout the building. This is enough square footage of drywall to cover the Memphis Redbirds jumbotron almost 117 times.
  • Once the job is complete, the framing contractor (Ranger Construction) will have installed approximately 240,000 linear feet of metal framing studs. This is enough to cover just over 45 miles, which will make it around the Shelby Farms Greenline trail about 4.5 times.
  • Roughly 8,000 square feet of glass will be used for the north elevation of this building. This is enough material to replace the Memphis Grizzlies basketball court flooring entirely with glass.
