WORK PERFORMED THIS WEEK

  • Installed electrical overhead and in-wall rough-in on the first and fourth floors.
  • Installed overhead lights on first floor. 
  • Installed conduit for pool.
  • Installed third floor lights and tied them off.  
  • Wired VAV Boxes.
  • Placed permanent power. 
  • Mounted transformers in electrical rooms.
  • Continued installing overhead and in-wall on first, third and fourth floors.
  • Finished up med gas lines on the fourth floor.
  • Installed duct on the fourth floor and tied in the chases. 
  • Installed VAV boxes. 
  • Continued installation of suite arrays.
  • Continued interior wall layout and erection of studs on the first to fourth floors.
  • Continued installation of drywall and insulation on the first and fourth floor.
  • Finished up drywall and framing on the third floor. 
  • Framed the south canopy.
  • Finished fur downs on third floor. 
  • Framed south balcony area and south covered walkway.
  • Continued hydro test on the fourth floor for sprinkler pipe. 
  • Installed branch lines on the first floor.
  • Continued caulking between the precast and exterior window frames.
  • Installed remaining exterior windows and frames. 
  • Continued installing exterior doors and frames around shell of building.
  • Continued working on retaining wall on the Campbell Clinic drive. 
  • Poured curbs for south entrance parking lot expansion. 
  • Formed curb and gutter and poured around the building starting in the front and continued clockwise around the building.
  • Continued installation on north elevator.
  • Continued installation of light/equipment boom brackets in the operation rooms.
  • Installed wire for the security camera and control systems on the third floor.
  • Continued running A/C units to condition the building.
  • Powered permanent lighting on third floor.
  • Continued inspections for fire curtain wall on the fourth floor.
  • Installed frames and exterior glass on the front entrance on first floor. 
  • Installed remaining windows on exterior.
  • Continued painting on third floor working west to east.
  • Finished installation of handrail in the south stairwell number three.

Statistics

  • By the end of the job, there will have been approximately 420,000 square feet of drywall installed throughout the building. This is enough square footage of drywall to cover up the Memphis Redbirds jumbotron almost 117 times.
  • Once the job is complete, the framing contractor (Ranger Construction) will have installed approximately 240,000 linear feet of metal framing studs. This is enough to cover just over 45 miles, which will make it around the Shelby Farms Greenline trail about 4.5 times.
  • Roughly 8,000 square feet of glass will be used for the north elevation of this building. This is enough material to replace the Memphis Grizzlies basketball court flooring entirely with glass.
